Wellinksthe company behind a digital platform and connected devices for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, has named Stacie Bratcher as CEO, filling the role vacated by Alex Waldron in March.
The Connecticut-based company offers a platform for tracking COPD treatments, symptoms and vital signs, coaching and pulmonary rehabilitation, as well as connected devices such as nebulizers and pulse oximeters.
Bratcher previously served as CEO of Jet Health, a provider of skilled home care, personal care, hospice and supportive care services, and CEO of Alana Healthcare, a chronic care management company.
She is also Chair of the Board of GripAble, a London-based digital health company that offers a wearable assessment and training device for upper limb rehabilitation.

THE GREAT TREND
One in eight Americans age 45 and older is affected by COPD, and more than 16 million Americans have been diagnosed with COPD, according to data from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute of the NIH.
Wellinks, formerly Convexity Scientific, tagged $25 million in Series C funding in 2021.
Last month, the company announced an agreement with Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield of Delaware to provide COPD care to underserved populations in the state.
Another digital health company tackling COPD is breatheda medical technology spin-off from the Singapore Agency for Science, Technology and Research.
breathed got FDA 510(k) clearance for its wearable cardiorespiratory sensor device that directly measures respiration in patients with cardiopulmonary diseases such as COPD and congestive heart failure.
